The TCS 1000 series of Throttle controllers is available in two models; the TC-1000 is a simple servo control amplifier capable of controlling Uni-polar and Bi-polar actuators like the Barber-Coleman TA+4 or the Jordan Rotary actuator. TCS also offers our own Bi-polar actuator the TA-1000, which is designed for in-vehicle use or an engine cell for throttle body hook-up.
The TC-1200 model is based on the TC-1000 controller with the addition of a micro controller module, (as pictured above). The Micro controller adds the ability of safety string monitoring for emergency stop control of Bi-polar actuators, full Auto or Manual Calibration of the actuator stroke, a WOT button, and a serial rs232 interface for remote auto calibration initiation. The TC-1000 unit will be controlled by a host system for safety string management and calibration of the actuator stroke.
Both controllers have analog inputs for throttle position setpoint, 0 - 10vdc, from the host system and analog outputs for actual throttle position feedback, 0 - 10vdc. There is also a digital input for the actuator enable circuit of the controller, if the TC-1200 controller is used this input is feed into the micro and it has the final control of the output driver circuit. This adds the ability to force the actuator to zero position first before turning off the output drivers, needed for Bi-polar actuators.
